2nd Annual Elementary Writing Conference

On Thursday, May 5th the HSSD G/T team hosted our 2nd annual Elementary Writing Conference at Heritage Hill in collaboration with West De Pere, East De Pere, Plymouth, Seymour and Green Bay School Districts. 11 HSSD fourth graders attended and participated in writing sessions with four local published authors focusing on different aspects of writing. One of these authors was Bay Port alum, Dennis Rockhill, author of 7 published books and co-founder of Proto GB, a Makerspace located in the Brown County Central Library. He autographed copies of his book, Polar Slumber,  and posed for pictures with our students.

This was a great opportunity for our gifted writers to network and extend their learning.
